FEEDING A NEWBORN TO INFANCY

1. First Food is Rice Cereal- He didn't quite like it and spat out most of the cereal. It was finely ground rice and boiled for 10-15 minutes.


2. Pure avocado smoothie- He likes this a lot. He ate like all of what I give him and keep asking for more. I gave him these for 2 weeks alternating it with the mashed squash that has been sauteed with other vegetables in a menu named Pinakbet.

3. Mashed Potato- taken from the potatoes that has been included in the meat and potato soup.

4. Ice cream- sweets I know but he's got to have a taste of it even just for just a small teeny weeny bit. Its size is just like that of a dollop from a medicine dropper.

Where to Buy Boat Tickets in Malls -Ayala Cebu , SM Cebu City

Wherever your drop off point upon entering Ayala Center Cebu, go up the 5th floor.


It is actually near the side of the building where the Active Zone is found.

Look for Gold's Gym , as the Mail and More Booth from where you will buy your tickets is located on the same floor as that gym and is on the same side of the building.

Don't panic if you see  the food court. You are on the correct floor.

If you are in Ayala Center Cebu: 5th Floor on the side of the Active Zone Area-  Ticketing Centers/ Services Center near Gold's Gym- More Sevices Area- Mail and More , then you are good to go.

If you are in SM City Cebu: Traveller's Lounge-Enter the mall and go down the stairs- ATM machines on the left: and to the Booths on your right around 50 meters from the entrance is Mail and More. There , you can buy tickets.

You will be charged for around Php50.00 more than if you purchased your ticket near the port area in Pier Uno but you will be freed of the hassle of finding a taxi to take you there and carrying your luggage with you, plus the airconditioning will make your mood better.

Best Trip by Boat / Fast Craft to Siquijor from Cebu City

The best , most comfortable, fastest, earliest convenient and hassle -free trip from Cebu to Siquijor in my humble opinion is through Ocean Jet Fast Ferry. Air-conditioned, offers sitting accommodation and plays the most recent movies, and you can check in your luggage so you are freed of the hassle of tugging along with you your luggages.

 

💳 📩⁉️Where to purchase the ticket: 

     💡 Ocean Jet ticketing office at Pier Uno or in Mail and More SM City Cebu or in Ayala Center Cebu. 

💶 How much does the trip from Cebu-Tagbilaran then Tagbilaran to Siquijor cost? :❓ 

      💡 Php1,200.00 for the boat tickets plus Php25.00 terminal fee in Cebu City Pier Uno Terminal.

📦What do I do after entering Pier Uno terminal?❓

       💡 As soon as my luggage got past the X-ray machines, I immediately had my luggage ( very big, hard-cased,20-kg  heavy luggage) checked in thru the Ocean Jet counter at Php50.00. 

      💡I also had my seat number assignment  on the same counter but with a different personnel assigned for it.

🛥 What is the best time to take a trip to Siquijor? ❓

      💡 Take the 8:00 A. M. Trip as it is still the same vessel that will take you to Siquijor at 11AM

      💡Otherwise, if you take an earlier trip , say 7AM , you will have to get your bags out again and have it placed on the vessel of the connecting trip at 11AM.

Siquijor Island Tour: Info Bits

                                             Around  the Mysteries and Exuberance of Siquijor Island

RULES/INFOS  TO LIVE BY: 

In Siquijor Island, there is a town named Siquijor. 

NAVIGATION:

Highway 860 is the national highway and is mostly coastal and can be covered in 4 hours or less. If you can do it in less than that, then good for you. 

The order in which you will pass the towns if you use Highway 860 is Larena-Siquijor-San Juan- Lazi-Maria-Enrique Villanueva (a.k.a.) Talingting then back to Larena. As I said, it is coastal so you can go around the island.

LANGUAGE SPOKEN:   We speak English too so you can ask us politely for directions. If our English is broken, its but natural. I am not a grammar police.  We are a very warm people. Your smile counts.

LITTERS:  Put your trash in your bag and unload it to the trash bin  in your homestay/resort. Do not destroy my island or I will destroy my blog.  Hahhahah. #chanellingDuterte. BE A RESPONSIBLE TRAVELER. 

DO NOT BRING BAD MANNERS and TRASH TO A PLACE THAT IS NOT YOURS. 

SHOPS , MALLS, GROCERY STORES :🏡

Bring your water and sunscreen and other body care staples. the ones you usually use may not be in stores in the island. Most are highly priced too.Buy the necessities beforehand. We do not have grocery stores and pharmacies that are open 24/7. We have Prince Hypermart. We do not have malls yet. I go to Elvis Tan Store in Larena for products that you might not find in Prince Hypermart.

SIQUIJOR: Lanbank ; Metrobank

SMOKING: As of May 2017, only Lazi and San Juan municipalities have not implemented the No-Smoking Policy in Public Spaces as Larena, Enrique Villanueva, Siquijor, and San Juan have applied for the Red Orchid Award. So basically, smoke only in  designated areas or better yet, Stop Smoking. It will do you kore good than harm and won't cost you a single cent to stop. You will also not be bothering other people if you stop. 😜

I'm Poolin 'For You

 Just near the boundary of Bitaug, Enrique Villanueva, Siquijor  ( a town a.k.a. Talingting)  and Sandugan, Larena , Siquijor , Kalachuchi Beach Resort sits prettily as one of the best choices if you want a beachside pool for a night dip. 

This can be seen around 5 minutes of not- so- polished (excuse my english) terrain which should require to shift gears to tersera and segunda.

Oh yes! we did a lot of selfies there  as I was pregnant by this time and I love pools.

There is a pond near the signage and I do not know as to its vegetation and animal/ reptilian ( if there si any) inhabitants for now.

 There are a lot of signages so read carefully so you wont get lost towards the hillside going up the rooms on the hills which are for in-house guests only.Hehehe

Follow this path canopied by Mahogany trees and others as this leads to the beach side...

Nope! As I said, guests value their privacy so much...

This is the stairway charot to the restaurant and the front desk...

You can play ping-pong, too.

Or perhaps  dive directly after arranging your stay there.

Or shower first near the hut on the picture above -for courtesy purposes...

Notice the stairs near the pool, it leads to this other set of stairs towards the resto.

And you can carry your ice-cold beer up the resto from the pool and wait for your lunch. They say you can wear your wet swimsuit, even while having your meal at the resto.

And have the best view here... you will neglect the chairs as you can be relaxed enough to watch the view.

Or play some pool upstairs.

Or enjoy a number 1 or number 2 on a clean space one floor below the dining area/ front desk./ resto

The food was good and i like their pancit guisado . The food is a bit pricey though. Pang- foreigner ang price.

and play Jenga while waiting for the bill.

Or lay in their well-manicured lawn sandwiched by the pool and the beach.

Or chill in the knee-deep areas of the pool , of course with your beer.
