How to Change your Username (a.k.a. @janedoe ) in Twitter

To change your username:

1. Log in to your account in Twitter.com 
2. On the top Right hand side, click the icon bearing your profile photo. It should show a dropdown menu for Profile and Settings.
   
   
   
   
   
3. Click on Settings from your profile icon dropdown menu.
4. You will then be directed to the  Account  page , so help yourself and  update the username currently listed in the Username field. 
5. If the username is already taken, you'll be prompted to choose another one.
6. Click the Save Changes button, then you'll be good to go.
