Tasty & Creamy Maja Blanca
with A New Twist
I was never a Maja Blanca fan until I have tasted one made in my co-workers resto-bar.
My spidey senses told me that they did not use any coconut milk and they replaced it with all-purpose cream and evaporated milk. So, I was right!. We had a very creamy and tasty maja blanca that is to die for! Try it for yourself.
Ingredients:
1. NESTLÉ ® ALL PURPOSE CREAM 250 mL (1 pack )
2. Evaporated Milk (2 cups)
3. Cornstarch (1 cup)
4. Refined Sugar (1cup)
5. Fried Peanuts (1/2 cup)
6. Corn Kernel (1 & 1/3 cup)
Preparation:
- Combine evaporated milk, NESTLÉ ® ALL PURPOSE CREAM , cornstarch and sugar in a pan.
- Whisk or continuously stir over low heat until the cornstarch is fully dissolved.
- When the mixture is already smooth, and free of lumps, add corn kernel.
- When it is already thick, add the fried peanuts.
- Transfer into a mold or a wine glass.
- Let it cool at room temperature.
- Refrigerate for 2 hours or until set.
